I've been quilting for over 23+ yrs. I enjoy using bright colors and quick, fast patterns. :) I also take care of my Mom. She has severe Dementia.

My Name According to Mom
Today I asked Mom if she knew my name. She said, "Wiggles." I was stunned and had no idea how she came up with that. A few minutes later, I told her, "My name is Betty and I take care of you because I love you." Sometimes I just don't understand Dementia-humor.

First Post
Today is my first post as a blogger. I've finally been compelled to enter into the world of blogging. LOL! A bit about my life, I'm the cat-Mom to 6 spoiled, rotten cats: Shadow, Buster, Peepers, Gabby, Precious, and Hope. I'm also a f/t caregiver to my Mom. She's got advanced Dementia and it takes alot of my time/energies to care for us.
I've been quilting since 1985, and it honestly doesn't feel like it's been over 20+ yrs, since quilting is my version of fun. I enjoy making quick, easy quilts and I've just entered a challenge using Blacks, Whites, and one other color. I'm using Red, since to me, it's the color of strength, energy, and courage. I've got several ideas floating around inside my head and I can't wait to get started once I get a pattern in my hand. This week will be devoted to finishing up UFOs, including Bonnie's "Old Tobacco Road," and my nephew's quilt and my new neice's quilt. They both wanted laprobes. His is in neutrals and blues, "Spice Market," 4/07 American Patchwork & Quilting. Hers is in a variety of Purples, using the Indian Hatchet/Stretched Stars version. Here's the link: http://quilting.about.com/od/blockofthemonth/ss/floating_stars_3.htm
I've also got to decide which pattern to use for my other Neice's quilt. She's pregnant and due in the spring. She's going to let me know later today whether she's having a baby girl/boy. Her theme is Winnie the Pooh, and I've definitely got some WoP fabric in my stash. I just have to find it. LOL!
